Edward Chen, also known as Chen Hao-sen (陳昊森), is a Taiwanese actor and singer born on August 2, 1996, in Taichung, Taiwan. He graduated from Hsing Wu University with a degree in Performing Arts. Edward is best known for his role as Chang Jia-han in the critically acclaimed 2020 film Your Name Engraved Herein, which became a milestone in LGBTQ+ cinema in Taiwan.

His performance earned him a nomination for Best New Performer at the 57th Golden Horse Awards. Edward's career includes a variety of roles in both film and television. He starred in the 2017 drama series Red Balloon and appeared in movies like The Post-Truth World (2022) and Scamsgiving (2023). In addition to acting, he has ventured into music, recording the theme song for Your Name Engraved Herein and releasing singles like "Hidden Pain" and "Aloof.

" In an interview, he was asked why he chose LGBTQ+ roles. He replied: "My sister is a lesbian. I talked to her about the gay films I made. I want you to see them soon because it was difficult for her. I hope that through my roles, I can show that I support her, which is incredible."
