Joep van Deudekom Biography

Joep was born on March 28, 1960 in Amsterdam and grew up in Schalkwijk (Haarlem) with 2 brothers and 2 sisters and from the age of 6 without a father, but with a fantastic mother. Joep was a bit of a crybaby, but he later managed to use that emotional sensitivity when composing sensitive melodies. Basketball was his main religion for years. Shooting forward with just too little talent and height (1.

86m) for the top. At the age of eleven, Joep taught himself to play the guitar and he still sees this as the determining factor for his eventual career, which has taken its current but still erratic form with many detours and feints. Joep ended up in the theater with NUHR and de Ploeg through a career as a gym teacher and private law teacher. The friendship with Peter Heerschop, who was in his class at the Academy for Physical Education, and Viggo Waas, two years below him, laid the foundation for his further career.

In November 2017, NUHR celebrated its (its?) 30th anniversary. NUHR won the Poelifinario for best theater program twice. In recent years he has mainly worked with Rob Urgert on various TV programs such as the Kwis, Het Instituut, Who do you think you are? and they developed various TV formats, books and events. Joep also wrote a number of children's books, a travel story book and books with collected columns and was the presenter of Discovery's 'How do they do it?' for 5 years.

that will be repeated throughout eternity. A short-lived participation in 'Wie is de Mol' in 2012 should not go unmentioned Joep is happily married and has two fantastic sons
