John Heard

John Heard (1946-2017) established himself as an up-and-coming actor in the late 1970s through his performances in the Joan Micklin Silver films Between the Lines (1978) and Chilly Scenes of Winter (1979). He appeared in a number of successful movies, including Heart Beat (1980), Cutter's Way (1981), Cat People (1982), C.H.U.D. (1984), and After Hours (1985), and later became known for playing the father, Peter McCallister, the Home Alone films. In 1999, he was nominated for an Emmy for his guest starring role on The Sopranos.
