The Nun II Review
‘The Nun II’ is a cliché-happy horror that is unlikely to win over many new converts. The latest offering from the ever-expanding ‘Conjuring’ franchise goes through the demonic motions and largely wastes a game cast.
Opening in theaters on September 8th, ‘The Nun II’ attempts to wring more scares out of the demonic habit-wearer first glimpsed in 2016’s ‘The Conjuring 2’. Unfortunately, despite some expressive performances from the likes of Taissa Farmiga, Storm Reid and Jonas Bloquet, it falls back on some very tired tropes and giant plot contrivances.
