Harriet Tubman may not be on the $20 bill yet, but her extraordinary is the focus of the upcoming biopic "Harriet."

Focus Features dropped a trailer for the film, which stars Cynthia Erivo as the abolitionist from her escape from slavery through her transformation into one of the America's greatest heroes. Her courage, ingenuity, and tenacity freed hundreds of slaves and changed the course of history.

The trailer provides glimpses at Harriet's brave rescue missions, using the Underground Railroad.

“This is the story of a seemingly powerless woman who accomplished the extraordinary to save her loved ones, and in the process became a leader of and inspiration for her people,” said producers Debra Martin Chase and Daniela Taplin Lundberg.

“While Harriet Tubman is a household name, most people don’t know the breadth of her story — not only was she a conductor on the Underground Railroad, but she was a spy for the Union army and remains one of the few women to have led an armed expedition in U.S. history.”

Leslie Odom Jr., Janelle Monáe, Joe Alwyn, Jennifer Nettles, and Clarke Peters also star.

"Harriet" opens in theaters November 1.
