Beautiful crier Angelina Jolie continues to sob and fret, and break down beautifully, of course, in the latest trailer for "By the Sea."

Released Friday, the clip sheds light on her emotionally turbulent marriage set amid a picturesque 1970s seaside resort in France, opposite her real-life husband Brad Pitt.

Incredibly, even a romantic ride with sweeping views in an open-top car a la Grace Kelly in "To Catch a Thief" (minus the scarf) isn't enough to inspire a smile for long.

"Do you hate me?" Pitt says in a voiceover. "Do you want to hurt me?" Pill-popping, tears, slapping, cigarette smoking, more tears (AND flawless wing-tipped eyeliner), long baths and stylish attire reveal a kaleidoscope of tension between the lovers as moody music plays in the background.

The trouble-plagued husband and wife examine the problems of their own relationship after interacting with tourists.

Never has melancholy looked so glamorous.

The artsy drama--written, directed and produced by Jolie--is a retro effort inspired by European cinema of the ’60s and ’70s.

“By the Sea” opens the AFI Film Festival Nov. 5 and opens nationwide Nov. 13.
