Magicians have been pulling rabbits out of hats for ages. And yet, with all this talent, no one can make a decent script materialize. show more

The movie is pleasant. It's reasonably funny. But the one who gets the real laughs here, the hard laughs, is Carrey, who plays the kind of role he should be playing - a complete lunatic. show more

What might have been an entertaining, silly comedy opts for pseudo-earnestness over movie magic. show more

Alan Arkin does the best trick, bringing a dollop of humanity to the role of Rance Holloway, the magician who was young Burt's inspiration. Apart from Rance, the whole production is slovenly nonsense, photographed on the cheap with blaring ghastliness. Yet it poses an intriguing mystery. Did the producers appeal to a denominator even lower than common by making their film as dumb as possible, or did it just turn out that way? show more

Like a creaky Vegas act desperate to please, The Incredible Burt Wonderstone is so eager you can’t help wanting to like it. But you also can’t help wondering if something better is playing in the theater next-door. show more

Enjoyable but as familiar as the old-school routines its magician heroes dish out. show more

There are some funny bits and characters around the edges of The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, but its core is empty of humor. In fact, this purported satire of Las Vegas magicians is a three-void circus: the script, the central character and the main performance. show more

This is also one dark and wickedly funny comedy. show more

It’s too cheesy and predictable to be a real miracle, but by Vegas standards, it’s a winner. show more

Few jokes take us by surprise, but enough comic haymakers land to make “Burt Wonderstone” credible, in not exactly “incredible.” show more

I was expecting many more laughs. Yet, a decent movie. Probably not something I will watch again. Several scenes where I had expected a build-up of laughs completely missed the point.

Not super funny, but funny. Movie sticks in the same place too long though

The beginning a bit slow, but then it is okay. I also laughed out loud a few times. A very nice movie. Nothing special, but nice. The magician theme was fresh and I likied how they \"compared\" the different styles of entertainment in the niche.

It\'s got some funny moments but way less than this cast should\'ve had! I\'d prob pass on this movie if I was you.

I am a big fan of Carrell. I am a big fan of Carey. I have loved Buschemi since Trees Lounge and Reservoir Dogs. When Idi Amin was killed in Uganga, his \"Body Double\" named \"Steve and Edie\" went to Hollywood to find work. He succeeded. He plays all 3 roles in Burt W. He sucks as does this film

Terrific. The whole theater was laughing from start to finish. The great stage and street magic that we get to also see is a huge plus.

Horrible...got a refund after 30 minutes. Scardino over did Carrell\'s character to the point of irritation...we GOT his point. Had he played it seriously, it would have been great. Everyone else was great because they played it straight. First rule of screenwriting: don\'t hit the viewers over the head with the obvious.

This movie was so incredibly hilarious, you will not be disappointed. It is hysterical, every bit of it, and the story is just great :) Every actor was amazing, I couldn\'t rave more. Consistent laughs all throughout (and the whole theatre is laughing too). Total package :) 5 stars
