Maybe not 4 stars but probably slightly better than 3. Strictly drama. Acting is fairly good, and story had weak spots.... ; don't buy. It's not one you'll want to go back and watch again, ************* entertaining. Full Review

thought it was a terrific movie.....sam rockwell was just great...the love these siblings had was... e...what a great sister....we all should be so lucky...i wanted to find out how he made out after 18 years in prision & read of his sad death 6 months later.....heartbreaking!!!! but his life before prision was that he was a screw up, but the movie indicated how much he loved his daughter....sister/daughter.....in his heart it did appear he was a loving man, ....it was so sad that he was in prision for so long....DNA thank goodness for it now!!! I jope Betty Ann is doing well, what a great person, devoted nearly her whole life for her brother!!! Very touching, & quite the loving story.... Full Review

The ever-magnetic Sam Rockwell is Kenny, Minnie Driver is full of beans as Betty Anne's best friend, Melissa Leo is wicked good as an ornery cop, and, in her two chewy scenes, Juliette Lewis reminds fans why we want her to run free forever.Full Review

The film is in the tradition of fighting-the-system stories drawn from real life such as "Erin Brokovich," and its powerful emotional appeal should draw a substantial grownup audience.Full Review

Filled with nuance, intricate emotion and a refreshing absence of melodramatics, Conviction is a moving exploration of light and love shining through the darkness of despair. Its impact cannot easily be shaken.Full Review
