Films like this is why I stopped listening to professional reviewers. They weren't very kind to the film but we thoroughly enjoyed it. It was fast-paced fun and not overly long like too many Hollywood films are now. Glad to see they are getting back to 2 hour films. I must also say that Nick Robinson is stunningly handsome, breathtaking.

SPOILER ALERT: If I were to look at this movie as a stand-alone movie, I would say that it was entertaining and had a neat concept to run with. However, I left the theater feeling scrambled. As if I just saw too much of everything, but not enough of that specific something or oomph. Not to say there weren't moments of "EEEK!", but I feel that the adrenaline did not last as long as it did when watching Jurassic Park. Basically, I just wanted to see more of the Indominous Rex - more camouflage scenes, more SUPER creeper/up-close and personal scenes...just moments of the I. Rex's raptor skills cleverly disguised and exaggerated. And I wanted more Blue-Delta-Echo-Charlie raptor scenes. I feel like the relationship between Owen and the raptors should have been supported more than the all-controlling Claire/Owen interest and dysfunctional family moments. Too, I sorta felt as if the movie was a long running advertisement for celebrities. I think it's great to have a cast of major folks, but kids (in the next 20 years) may not get the cultural or "reason of fame" references. Despite it all, the acting was great, picture was beautiful, and the ending definitely leaves potential for a sequel sequel. I greatly appreciated the semi-flashback moments (breaking of the glass in the vehicle, running through the fields, etc), the "Easter Eggs", seeing BD Wong once again, and the goosebump-producing opening score playing approaching the reclaimed large wooden doors on the train. Just show me more "main mad dinosaur" next time ;)

This movie was exciting but predictable throughout. Nothing gave me pause or shock of inventiveness. When will these greedy billionaires realize a basic premise. Do not mix dinosaurs with people. Stupid!
