Really enjoyed this movie. Just beautful scenery and pleasant, funny summer fun.
One of the best Socially Redeeming movies I have seen in years. Mr. Freeman , as far as I am concerned, has never been in a movie, that didn't allow me to be disappointed in any way. He , himself, is an example of a \"Socially Redeeming\" Man. Great coming of age movie.
This movie is fantastic! Morgan Freeman does it again; playing a stellar leading character that captivates the audience while teaching a lesson in transformation. All rest of the cast equally does an amazing job with great acting that warms the heart and inspires the soul. I would highly recommend this movie to everyone of all ages; it's a real family movie. Don't listen to the critics and SEE
This is a very good movie, the kind where you come out of the threatre feeling good, relaxed, contented and know that your money was not wasted. Every day life told in many ways each person can relate to in some way. The cast did a great job.

As sticky-sweet and textureless as a bowl of pudding, though an amused central performance from star Morgan Freeman continually finds nuance and the unexpected where there ultimately isn't any. Full Review

A crotchety, alcoholic, wheelchair-bound coot played on cruise control by Morgan Freeman learns these recycled lessons in a pastel-colored, embroidered wall-hanging of a drama directed by Rob Reiner. Full Review

Even in an underwritten role, the delightful Madsen shines in her best performance since her comeback role in "Sideways." Full Review

For about an hour of its running time, The Magic of Belle Isle seems like a tiresome, sentimental and slow-moving story about a grumpy old man redeemed by the sweet spirit of a rural town and by the nice family that lives next door. But no, it's even worse than that. Full Review
