A Surreal Comic Gem! Many critics have missed the boat on this one and because it’s quirky they’ve dished it as just another failed indie comedy. The fact is, this film is a surreal comedy and if you’re adventurous and want to see something unusual, not starring the pretty flavored actress of the month, check out Bonnie Loren’s performance in “Tied to a Chair”! Being a surreal comedy, the film doesn’t traffic in logic, rather, it delights in the unexpected image and scenario. Ms. Loren is delightfully true and real as a frustrated housewife who’s missed the boat for her dreams as an actress by marrying a snooty British gentleman who barely honors her thespian aspirations. Faster than you can say, “watch me” she turns her life around and catches that said boat to wherever it may take her….and it takes her into some very dicey waters. Loren carries the film, but all supporting players are spot on performance-wise and funny
