Faith, family, and forbidden love -- the trailer for "Disobedience" is has all three themes in spades.

Bleecker Street released the new preview Thursday, showing stars Rachel McAdams and Rachel Weisz as Esti and Ronit, two former childhood friends and lovers who are reunited when Ronit comes home after her father's death. While Ronit has become an outsider in their Orthodox Jewish community, Esti is married to a rabbi. As we see in the trailer, Esti starts to question her choices as she rekindles her romance with Ronit.

In addition to McAdams and Weisz, "Disobedience" stars Alessandro Nivola as Dovid, Esti's rabbi husband and Ronit's cousin. The film is based on Naomi Alderman's 2006 novel of the same name and was adapted by Sebastian Lelio and Rebecca Lenkiewicz. Lelio is the director.

"Disobedience" premiered at the 2017 Toronto International FIlm Festival and will hit U.S. theaters this fall. The film is set for release on April 27.
