Bougar Biography

Bouga, born in 1974 and whose real name is Madjid Boughachiche, is a French-Algerian rapper, singer, presenter, and actor from Marseille. He is best known for his song "Belsunce Breakdown," the title track from the soundtrack to the film "Comme un Aimant," which spent several weeks on the best-selling charts in France and Belgium. Bouga is originally from Marseille, in the Bouches-du-Rhône department.

He grew up in the Belsunce neighborhood. In 2000, he composed the song "Belsunce Breakdown," the title track from the soundtrack to the film "Comme Un Aimant," which spent several weeks on the best-selling charts in France and Belgium. The song was also certified gold. Bouga says: "For this song, "Belsunce Breakdown," I gathered all the little phrases that came to me during the day while thinking about my neighborhood and wrote them down on scraps of paper.

" When Akhenaton (the singer of IAM) asked me to do something for the soundtrack of his film, Like a Magnet, I put the little phrases together and that made the title." In 2006, he hosted a cultural web show on Cosca Network, Cosca TV, created by Nadia and Jeremy FreeAgent. In December 2014, Bouga performed a fanfare version of Belsunce Breakdown. Between 2016 and 2016, he was a key figure on the comedy channel Enorme TV, where he hosted the shows Le Monde de Bouga, Le Clash, 100% Foot, Tozemouk Tozenight, and more.

In 2023, Bouga spearheaded the Chroniques de Mars 3 project and relaunched the MDLR (Mecs De La Rue) brand, created in the 1990s with Reda (producer of the Chroniques de Mars 3 album), modernizing the line and offering capsule collections with Sergio Tacchini and Kaporal.
