Lucas Rabelo Biography
Since his childhood, Lucas has been creating stories, shaping his first audiovisual projects while at school, where he received encouragement and made his debut at a prestigious international festival based in the South of Brazil. The filmmaker yearns for a future in which new filmmakers from all backgrounds can express themselves freely and achieve recognition without restrictions, including those linked to age.
Now, at the age of 20, Lucas aims to spread the idea that independent productions, created and/or realized in the local community, bring authenticity to the audience and a fundamental care for artistic purposes. His career has already accumulated 15 nominations at global festivals, including a win in the 'Revelation Prize' category at GRU Shorts BR, the International Short Film Festival of Guarulhos, in 2024.
