Plot Summary
When Gates (Kent Smith) travels from America to London to sell an old family house, he gets involved in much more than a simple real estate transaction. He is given a lengthy history lesson by the current tenant, Lesley (Ruth Warrick), who is trying to prevent the sale. When the blitz begins, Lesley and Gates go to an air-raid shelter, where Lesley starts detailing the house's significance, telling Gates how it connects both their families, going as far back as the early 1800s.
