Pac-Man is gobbling up everything in sight in "Pixels." Will he do the same at the weekend box office?

The Adam Sandler-starring film about vintage video games running amok is forecast to open at around $25 million. That's expected to top another new wide release, the John Green novel adaptation "Paper Towns," featuring the very-hot-right-now Cara Delevingne paired with Nat Wolff from the Green-to-screen hit "The Fault in Our Stars."

But it may not be enough to bump off "Ant-Man," still running strong, and don't underestimate "Paper Towns," which could also sneak to the top. "Paper Towns" is supposed to bring in about $20 million, well below the $48 million debut of "Fault," but it could make a surprise surge as "Fault" did, powered by the rock-star-like status of Green among the YA book crowd.

The last new release, the Jake Gyllenhaal boxing drama "Southpaw," is expected to open at close to $20 million as the only new film aimed at adults. And still lurking are "Minions" and "Trainwreck," all of which promise some longevity at the box office.
