    Peter Hartlaub San Francisco Chronicle

The sexual tension is thick between the woodland creatures in Alpha and Omega, an animated children's film with a plot that has more in common with "The Blue Lagoon" than "Bambi." show more

    Scott Bowles USA Today

Alpha and Omega is one of those rarities in the modern era of Hollywood animation: bad. show more

    The Hollywood Reporter

Abounding in dumb jokes that kids are bound to like but sometimes too scary for very young viewers, the movie -- also going out in 2D -- takes too long to find its footing and at best is proficient, not exhilarating. show more

Stephen Cole The Globe and Mail (Toronto)

If you have kids who are easily frightened, bring them to Alpha and Omega, a 3-D movie with training wheels. Kids may not like it, but they'll never fall off the ride. show more

    Tom Russo Boston Globe

Alpha and Omega is sweet, if not fresh. show more

    Roger Moore Orlando Sentinel

As with any movie, this kids' film is only as good as its writing - the jokes, the cute bits, the heart. And that's where Alpha and Omega comes up short. show more

    Michael O'Sullivan Washington Post

The littlest children in your house may find something to titter at from time to time, but based on the reaction of a young screening audience, it won't be often. show more

    Amy Nicholson Boxoffice Magazine

Parents with restless, animal-loving children may as well throw it a bone. show more

    Arizona Republic

Occasionally cute but not much else, Alpha and Omega is an animated flick that doesn't leave much of an impression. show more

Nick Schager Time Out New York

A dog in wolf's clothing, Lionsgate's drab, anthropomorphic animal saga does little more than reconfirm the preeminence of Pixar. show more

Though it had it's flaws(and what movie doesn't?), I enjoyed ******************* better than most of the stuff playing at my theater right now.

My family LOVED this movie. It has a lot of heart and is beautiful to look at. The jaded critics are WRONG!!!

This movie had the worst 3D effects I have seen in a modern movie. The wolves' hair moved in utterly artificial fashion. The plot was utterly predictable. Even the music seemed to be ripped off from a score by John Williams. But my 8-year-old son liked it, generally.
