Having been a caregiver for over 6 years I found very little depth in this movie.I found her too mentally well to go into the nursing home and he very much in his own ego needs. Again, there is that ... notion that we find ourselves through another person. So, there's that sexual part. I lead an Alzheimer's group with men and women and our dialogues were raw and tearful. We were too worn out to even think of adding on another relationship even with help from others or a nursing home situation. It isn't as understandable as you filmed and I am sorry you gave that impression. Full Review
I absolutely loved this film - tho it was hard to find a theatre that was playing it...Julie Christie was BRILLIANT and is still so gorgeous.....As a daughter of an Alzheimer parent, I found the story... very moving...Tho I thought Fiona had more verbal skills than most patients....Thank you for a terrific film!!
