Cape Fear is a star-studded, fantastically chilling film: incredible actors, a terrifying idea, and an altogether perfect movie. An insane ex-convict strategically stalks his former lawyer’s family. Yet this film isn’t in the horror category – it’s only categorized as a thriller. Robert De Niro stars as the dangerous ex-con Max Cady, although he isn’t the only famous face. Nick Nolte plays the lawyer Sam Bowden who originally defended him; Jessica Lange shines as Leigh, the terrified wife; Juliette Lewis is Danielle, the troubled teenage daughter. Unfortunately, she seems to be in the most danger with Max. Martin Scorsese is the brilliant mind who directed this incredible terror. I’ve seen millions of movies with dull or just outright stupid plots. Even some that change the plot within forty minutes of the movie. I had a few thoughts about the next scene, and yet they were never right. Not even once. All I can say is, the scene with the maid is the absolute worst. You don’t suspect anything in that one particular scene, and yet that’s the one scene where you’ll end up screaming. All in all, Cape Fear is a magnificent movie. Even you haters of horror will love it. All the characters have their own little stories, yet it’s simply impossible to be confused. This is honestly one of my favorite movies, and it will most likely be yours too. The anger and ter
