  • Exodus is a biblical epic that comes at you at maximum velocity but stays stirringly, inspiringly human. show more

  • It’s not a question of believing it, exactly. Director Ridley Scott has simply made us want to be there, to wish we really were there, and to accept his illusion as the most ready answer to that desire. show more

  • Swarms of flies, oozing pustules, alligator attacks and gaggles of frogs are vividly rendered in three dimensions in Exodus: Gods and Kings. And yet this biblical epic is still bland, overly long and otherwise forgettable. show more

I am getting real tired of Europeans playing Great Africans of which Mosses and Pharaoh were both Africans and of the deep dark kind not like the Arab that now live in the region. To see what the people of that geographic era looked like you would have to see the people of the Sudan. Hollywood does the same with Jesus. He looks Swedish in most movies and pictures. If you want a description of Jesus go to the bible and understand the angel came to Joseph and told him to take the baby and mother and go hide in Egypt. Why would you tell white people to go hide in Egypt a country know to be Africa. Mosses was raised as an Egyptian. How could that be? the only difference between the black Egyptians and the Hebrews were their religion. The only reason we let Hollywood get away with this is because we need Jesus to be White. In the past it was done so that the black people would not be inspired. America was determined to cast us inferior that is not possible if the birth of religion and civilization was a process of people who were deep dark black (Nubian).

This movie is short of the actual exodus scriptures. There are several flaws and even some add ins that should/shouldn't be there. I would give this movie a 2.5 rating. Seeing as how there are misleading and identifying parts in this movie. It is watchable, but to some one who has studied scripture, it is very disappointing!!!
