    Peter Hartlaub San Francisco Chronicle

In execution, the film is all sidekicks and sight gags, with little story cohesion or purpose. show more

    Claudia Puig USA Today

Free Birds is pleasant enough holiday fare. And kudos to the animators for transforming a rather unattractive — or at least unappreciated — species into a cast of endearing characters. show more

Elizabeth Weitzman New York Daily News

Children, of course, won’t notice the political subtext. But do be prepared for them to exit the theater demanding that you make only Tofurkey in the future. show more

    The Hollywood Reporter

Although it seldom approaches the inspiration of its plucky premise... Free Birds nevertheless manages to avoid being branded a holiday turkey. show more

A more than worthy (and weird) holiday diversion for the whole family. show more

    Bill Zwecker Chicago Sun-Times

While the overall concept of the script is pretty creative and original, at several points along the way the storyline gets a bit muddled. show more

    Tom Russo Boston Globe

At an hour and a half, the action in Free Birds gets stretched thin. It’s Thanksgiving fare, sure, but it only partly satisfies our hankering. show more

    Sara Stewart New York Post

A forgettable — and occasionally borderline offensive — animated tale of turkeys trying to take back Thanksgiving. show more

Liam Lacey The Globe and Mail (Toronto)

Well-intended but maladroit, with a clever premise and cute animation that are undermined by the trite sci-fi parody plot and manic, unfunny banter. show more

    Roger Moore McClatchy-Tribune News Service

Frozen, undercooked and sorely lacking much in the way of “all the trimmings,” this turkey isn’t ready to serve. show more

This is sooo much like Bill and Ted's Journey. Animation is the only thing that keeps this movie alive. We lose ourselves in the comedy between the two turkeys, otherwise this is really a terrible film, even for kids !

This movie was GREAT !!! More Power to the Birds !!! If you appreciate really good family entertainment, Free Birds is a must see as this movie grandly delivers good fun! We personally witnessed kids, teenagers, and yes even adults loving this movie while we watched it two different occasions.

I liked it more than I expected to. My 5 year old loved it. Great for kids, very good humor.

My Grand Daughter and I don\'t really care about what the critics like and don\'t like, we just had a good time.
