a superb movie i remember watching as a child. although a bit dramatic and overdone , it captures the old south in a little more childish light than did gone with the wind. the actors are first rate ... with a whos who of stars in every part. the plot is good and good humor at times as the dark villianous cuttler weaves his twisted web of death and deceit. a good relaxing watch. great courtroom scenes and a lot of nostalgia.
