Props to Kutcher for going to surprising, painful places. There's something haunted in his portrayal that hits hard and sticks. show more

Elizabeth Weitzman New York Daily News

Although Kutcher deserves some credit for trying to spread his professional wings, it quickly becomes clear that he's in over his head. show more

    James Greenberg The Hollywood Reporter

It comes off as an unpleasant, unrealistic morality tale. Loaded with music and pretty bodies, the film has a chance to lasso a young, indiscriminate audience of Kutcher fans. show more

    The Globe and Mail (Toronto)

One of the best things about this film is that ultimately nobody in it is attractive. show more

    Lou Lumenick New York Post

A witless homage to "Shampoo" and "American Gigolo" that's brain-dead on arrival. show more

    Film Threat

Kutcher gives a surprisingly proficient performance as does Heche who is the shining star of the film. show more

Stephen Garrett Time Out New York

Lamely tries to update "Breakfast at Tiffany’s" for the Twitter set. Too bad Truman Capote’s not around for rewrites. show more

    Owen Gleiberman Entertainment Weekly

The whole movie is pat -- very pleased with itself for being so up front about the ways of a 21st-century man-whore. show more

    Andrew O'Hehir Salon.com

Mackenzie delivers that story as a blend of sex comedy, dark satire, and morality tale that recalls various aspects of "Shampoo" and "Less Than Zero" and "The Graduate," but has a couple of nifty surprises and a poisonous sting in its tail that's all its own. show more

I had to cringed in the beginning...I recognize that guy!!!! opps. Well played and thought provoking. I adore Aston Krutcher and also ***** for his role with Michelle Phiffer in Personal Effects..a must see. This movie is awesome and the surprise ending*****. the best. PS they used makeup to age him. Get over it. He is gorgeous. but the rolled up pants sucked.

I see this character on the weekends all the times , the different clubs and bars is full of them I loved the Aston Krutcher character and it was the right age you could not have a 21 or 25 ***** (like described in the movie) playing such a role it takes practice to have someone take you home , sleep with you and leave you at their home until you come back from work. I also liked the ending it was not expected I thought he was going to end up with the girl but **** hapends...

Anne Heche looks good, but movie misses then mark Aston Krutcher is just to old to pul off the young gigilo bit,but maybe that's the point-- aging male ***** gets shafte,etc.. Not terrible, but close!

The movie was painfully awful! It was pointless with no character development.
