Terribly disappointing!!! I was entertained beyond belief viewing Rob Zombie's previous movies, so I was almost overcome with anticipation awaiting this offering. There was no build-up, although I felt some ineffective effort was made at suspense, scariness, and gore. Dare I say \"Anticlimactic!\"
lousy movie
I was very excited to go watch a Rob Zombie movie...not what i was expecting... greatly disappointed :/ Not really scary and special effects were pretty bad :( soo sad
This has to be the absolute worst film in the history of man. It is just plain aweful. It is slow and not scary at all. The acting by the star is stilted and poorly done. She couldn't act her way out of a paper bag. The pointless T&A is stupid. Its not even good T&A. The anti-catholic themes are cliche and just played out. Nothing original. I'd love to see Rob go after Islam and see what
JUST AWFUL. PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.

A genuinely nasty and disturbing piece of work, but its cumulative nerve-shredding effect is not just the product of effective direction. Sheri Moon Zombie delivers her best serious dramatic performance yet (before marrying Zombie, she used to be a porn star). Full Review

Some of the imagery is memorable, in a twisted-horror kind of way. Zombie has no trouble scaring up atmosphere. But other scenes are ridiculous, unintentionally funny, particularly one he builds up to ominously, only to give us a silly payoff. Full Review

The movie is eerily photographed (by Brandon Trost), but never suspenseful or scary, and eventually, events descend into goat-sacrificing silliness. Full Review

Zombie's witches aren't as scary as the credible psychopaths he has portrayed before, but The Lords of Salem contains enough frenzied imagery in its climactic moments to make the spell linger. Full Review

The Lords of Salem is more creepily atmospheric than truly scary and eventually lapses into silliness. But it does provide some evocatively spooky moments along the way. Full Review
