    Frank Scheck The Hollywood Reporter

Very much reminiscent of "Napoleon" in numerous ways only minus the wit, the film is made somewhat palatable by its inherent sweetness and its treatment of typical adolescent angst. show more

Beautifully encapsulates the film's sensibility, a bizarre mix of reverse cool and childishness. show more

    Film Threat

Blends classic elements of fantasy, teen-angst and coming-of-age tales to create a genre all its own. And through it all, the movie is undeniably wholesome. show more

Gavin’s story is typical teen-faces-bullies-and-gets-girl hokum, while Zerk is like a Mike Judge cartoon character come to life, with a revelatory slapstick performance from the often straight-laced Long. show more

There’s precious little to laugh at in The Sasquatch Gang, a sad attempt to board the loser-nerd comedy bandwagon. show more

this movie is sssssooooo funny! if u have *********** it yet, but the DVD or, if you have netflix it's on instant queue. Oh and by the way, because of Jeremy Sumpter's nerdness in this movie makes him less hot. But he's still gorgeous(don't worry girls.) But i do have to admit not the best movie ever. 3 out of 5 stars. almost 4.

The Sasquatch Gang presents a unique story to an industry that has been more and more corrupted by predictable plotlines. Writer and director Tim Skousen's nonlinear plot delivers many "a-ha" moments and entertains throughout. The delightfully awkward relationship between sci-fi aficionados Gavin and Sophie is key to this coming-of-age comedy, but Justin Long and Joey Kern steal the show as the butt-rocking white trash neighbors. Long breaks out of his typically goofy roles and shows off his real talent as the character Zerk. Also amusing is Carl Weathers, who plays a pretentious "expert" on sasquatches and other mythical creatures. Skousen offers an unusual style of humor that audiences should be prepared to embrace. All and all, this original comedy about nerds, bullies, and butt-rockers generates entertainment that is well worth the price of admission.

This is a fun movie to go see, and you should check it out. Justin Long's character Zerks, and his buddy Shirts provide side splitting comedy. They remind me of my youth. Meanwhile the two romantic teens in the film provide good nostalgia for those of us who are grown up and remember what it is like to have a crush. John Griese is also a nice treat as the goofy park ranger. Last but not least the hilarious Carl Weathers as Artemis Snodgrass.
