Brian Gay Biography

Brian Gay is a Director of the Marvel Studios Production & Development group. Gay began his career in the entertainment industry while studying at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). From October 2007 to August 2008, he worked as a Research Assistant in the UCLA Communications Department. In early 2008, he expanded his experience with a Publicity Internship at the Fox Broadcasting Company, followed by a summer position as a Featured Literary Intern at The Gersh Agency from June to September 2008.

During that same summer, he also worked as a Film Projectionist at Mann Theatres. Continuing his academic involvement, Gay served as an Athletics Tutor at UCLA's Covel Athletics Tutorials from September 2008 to June 2009 and as a Teaching Assistant and Grader for the UCLA Communications Department from April to June 2009. In 2010, Brian Gay began his professional career with The Walt Disney Company.

From January to August 2010, he worked as an Undergraduate Associate in Communications at Disney Consumer Products. He then moved to a full-time position as an Executive Assistant in Corporate Communications at The Walt Disney Company, a role he held from August 2010 to December 2013. Following this, he joined The Walt Disney Studios as a Senior Communications Consultant, where he worked from December 2013 to December 2016, gaining valuable experience in media strategy and communications within one of the industry's leading studios.

In January 2017, Gay transitioned to Marvel Studios, where he served as an Executive Assistant in the Office of the President until November 2019. He was then promoted to Manager of the Production & Development group, a position he held from November 2019 to February 2022. In February 2022, Brian Gay advanced to the role of Director of the Marvel Studios Production & Development group.
