Guillermo Prieto IV

Guillermo Prieto IV is an 18-year-old Mexican-American filmmaker studying at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. Guillermo was born in Plano, Texas, and his whole family is of Mexican descent. He lived in Dallas, TX as an infant, Monterrey, Mexico as a toddler, and moved to Rye Brook, NY when he was 5 years old. At a young age, Guillermo had a passion for cartoons and animation, but around his early teenage years, he grew a passion for cinema, as films became his source of escapism.

Ever since, he has been making films with friends in Rye Brook, and at NYU. Each one of his films is different from the last, in terms of tone and genre, inspired by the work of Stanley Kubrick, and countless other filmmakers.
