Jana Bernard

Jana Bernard is a SAG-AFTRA actor, comedian, writer, director, and voice over artist based in NYC. A quick-witted, quirky, and heartfelt actor, Jana can be seen on stage and screen playing sassy spitfires, witty and well-educated professionals, and young heroines. On screen, Jana is cast on NETFLIX’S Girls5Eva alongside Emmy-Award-Winning Sara Bareilles and Busy Phillips.

Recently Jana appeared on “Poker Face” as “Young Irene,” the young version of Judith Light’s role, singing in the Paramount Feature Film “Under the Boardwalk”, and featured in NETFLIX’s “The Half of It”. Jana has also been featured in several sketches on “Saturday Night Live” over the past 7 seasons. Jana is a comedian who performs stand up comedy in clubs throughout the US including Comedy Cellar, New York Comedy Club, Broadway Comedy Club, The Stand, Stress Factory, and Stand Up NY.

She currently works at The Second City in NYC. She has trained in Improv and sketch comedy at Upright Citizen’s Brigade and in the Second City Conservatory. On stage, Jana is an award-winning actress who has played Elle Woods in “Legally Blonde”, Lauren in “Kinky Boots”, Val in “A Chorus Line”, Blanche Barrow in “Bonnie and Clyde”, Squeaky Fromme in “Assassins”, and is an alum of The Jimmy Awards on Broadway.

Jana writes, produces, and directs comedy sketches which can be viewed on her YouTube channel. Her most recent productions include, “Switching Teams”, “Unhinged”, and “A Subway Sketch”.
