Nikki Britton Biography

Nikki Britton started out as an actor and exploded onto the comedy scene in 2011 with her warm, lightning-paced style, that has subsequently seen her appear on the Melbourne Comedy Festival Oxfam Gala, ABC’s Comedy Up Late and on The Comedy Channel as part of the Just For Laughs Festival. You may have also seen Nikki playing the scene-stealing Marlo on Peter Helliar’s How to Stay Married on Network 10, feature in Matt Okine’s The Other Guy and star in the Screen Australia web-series Sheila’s, directed by Hannah and Eliza Riley.

She has also appeared as a guest on Network Ten’s The Project and Celebrity Name Game. Her live theatre credits include playing Sara in Amelia Roper’s She Rode Horses Like the Stock Exchange and touring the one woman Irish play 51 Shades of Maggie Muff around Australia for 2 years to sold-out crowds and critical acclaim. Nikki has toured her stand up comedy nationally and internationally for the last 6 years including with The Melbourne Comedy Festival Roadshow, as well as performing at LA’s Laugh Factory, The Hollywood Improv and The Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Her solo shows Romanticide and One Small Step were both nominated for best comedy at the Perth and Adelaide Comedy Festivals. Her 2019 show Once Bitten received standing ovations and excellent reviews to sold out houses at festivals across the country. As a playwright, she was nominated for a GLUG for her work on Hidden Sydney. Nikki’s electrifying stage presence, warmth and personable demeanour make Nikki Britton a much sought-after talent on stage, TV and radio.
