Vera Price Biography
Vera Evelyn Price was a British supercentenarian. She joined the Civil Service at 21. She was forced to leave when she married but her husband died when she was just 33. She was reinstated in the Civil Service in 1937, joining the Foreign Office. She became a probation officer in London until she was 51 and ended up at the Treasury before retiring at 60.
She came straight back to Bristol to nurse her mother.
