is back home in Australia for "Thor: Ragnarok," aka "Thor 3." Filming officially began this week, with "Ant-Man" director congratulating new "Thor" director :

Chris Hemsworth has been sharing some Instagram photos from Oz, including one with the director and a short video from the set (which has a roller coaster next door!). As he says in the video:

"Here we are, beginning of shooting for 'Thor 3' at the studios. I'm all trained, got my shake, got my shoes, and as requested, got my roller coaster. It's just a little something – one of the perks that comes with being Thor. So, see you later."

It's not really his roller coaster, but it would be funny if they did build it just for him. According to Screen Rant, Village Roadshow Studios is next door to Gold Coast-based amusement park Warner Bros. Movie World.

Taika Waititi ("What We Do in the Shadows") knows he's kind of a left field pick to direct this superhero movie, and he talked to the Gold Coast Bulletin (via Heroic Hollywood) about his collaborative process:

"I've been hanging out with Chris and I've been working on the script with the writer, designing swords and things and looking at pieces of armour. I am an outside choice for Thor for sure – even I see that – but that's what's good about Marvel, what's great about it. They're able to do that and it's paid off for them – getting people who aren't the natural choice. You see it again and again, so I'm very comfortable in the role. I'm weirdly relaxed."

"Thor: Ragnarok" co-stars Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, Anthony Hopkins, Cate Blanchett, Tessa Thompson, Jeff Goldblum, and Karl Urban. It's scheduled for release November 3, 2017.
