Little Bo Peep lost her sheep--and her heart.

In the fourth installment of the "Toy Story" franchise, Mother Goose's darling will find love with cowboy Woody.

"It's a love story with Woody and — and this is news — Bo Peep," Disney Chief Creative Officer John Lasseter announced during day one of Disney's D23 Expo in Anaheim, Calif. on Friday.

"Toy Story" debuted in 1995 and featured Tom Hanks as the voice behind Woody, as well as Annie Potts as Bo Peep. The animated characters were never romantically linked, but they flirted throughout the film series, including the 1999 and 2010 sequels.

The "Toy Story" franchise has earned $2 billion at the international box office, but Lasseter insists that money played no part in creating a fourth sequel.

"At Pixar and at Disney, we only make sequels if we come up with a story that's as good or better than the original," he said. "That's our rule. We don't do things just to print money."

"Toy Story 4" will hit theaters on June 16, 2017.
