Jacob Hager Jr. Biography
Jacob "Jake" Hager, Jr.Â is an AmericanÂ professional wrestlerÂ signed toÂ WWE, where he performs under theÂ ring nameÂ "A Real American" Jack Swagger. Hager attended theÂ University of OklahomaÂ as a two sport athlete, participating in bothÂ footballÂ andÂ wrestling. He switched to wrestling full-time in his sophomore year, and in 2006, set the record for mostÂ pinsÂ in a season with 30 as anÂ All-American.
Following a try-out, Hager signed a WWE contract in mid-2006. He made his debut for the WWEÂ developmental territoryÂ Deep South WrestlingÂ in September, and was moved to theÂ Ohio Valley WrestlingÂ territory in January 2007. A few months later, Hager debuted forÂ Florida Championship Wrestling, where he was the finalÂ FCW Southern Heavyweight ChampionÂ and the inauguralÂ FCW Florida Heavyweight Champion.
In late 2008, he debuted for theÂ ECWÂ brand under the name Jack Swagger, and in January 2009, he won his first World Championship, theÂ ECW ChampionshipÂ after defeatingÂ Matt Hardy. In March 2010, while a member of the Raw brand, he won theÂ Money in the Bank Ladder matchÂ atÂ WrestleMania XXVIÂ and cashed it in later that week onÂ SmackDown, where he defeatedÂ Chris JerichoÂ to win theÂ World Heavyweight Championship.
In January 2012, he won theÂ United States ChampionshipÂ after defeatingÂ Zack Ryder.
