Anne Hathaway is so passionate about fantasy football that it distracted her from television's biggest night.

"The Intern" star told Jimmy Fallon on "The Tonight Show" Tuesday that she switched back and forth Sunday between the Emmy Awards and the NFL game between the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks.

"No disrespect to TV, but it was a great game," she said, "and also Aaron Rodgers is my quarterback in fantasy so I needed to know."

A die-hard New Giants fan, she sees greatness in the team's future despite its winless start this season.

"We're doing fine. You know what this seasons reminds me of? This season reminds me of the 2007 season when we started 0-2 and wound up with the ring," she says.

The season rests on the shoulders of the team's often-maligned quarterback Eli Manning.

"It is on you, Eli. Take if home, buddy," she said, while adding a theory as to the season's awful start. "We're just adding a little drama to the season. I wouldn't want to start 2-0 like the Jets. God, that's obvious."
