Ae Southammavong Biography
Chef Ae is a self-taught chef inspired by sharing the flavors of Southeast Asia. Born and raised in Vientiane, Laos, she started playing around in the kitchen with her parents as a kid and has been in love with cooking since. After going to college and working a corporate job for almost a decade, Chef Ae took a chance on herself and took the leap of faith to pursue her passion for cooking and has never looked back! Food is the ultimate love language for Chef Ae, and her passion is to share this love with the world.
Her family taught her the importance of gathering together for a delicious meal every night for dinner, something she will value forever. Take time to be with the ones you love, ask them about their day and how they are feeling, and appreciate the time you have together. Eating is not only a time to fill your stomach, but it is also the time to fill your heart with love.
Chef Ae loves sharing her eclectic Lao culture to the world with not only food, but with funny, relatable immigrant content on her TikTok and Instagram. Her latest project is being a contestant of FOX's NEXT LEVEL CHEF - Season 1.
